Protocol , in computer science , a set of rules or procedures for transmitting data between electronic devices, such as computers. In order for computers to exchange information, there must be a preexisting agreement as to how the information will be structured and how each side will send and receive it. Without a protocol , a transmitting computer, for example, could be sending its data in 8- bit packets while the receiving computer might expect the data in bit packets.

Protocols are established by international or industrywide organizations. Perhaps the most important computer protocol is OSI Open Systems Interconnection , a set of guidelines for implementing networking communications between computers.

A computer network is a group of computers that use a set of common communication protocols over digital interconnections for the purpose of sharing resources located on or provided by the network nodes. The interconnections between nodes are formed from a broad spectrum of telecommunication network technologies, based on physically wired, optical, and wireless radio-frequency methods that may be arranged in a variety of network topologies. The nodes of a computer network may include personal computers , servers , networking hardware , or other specialised or general-purpose hosts. They are identified by hostnames and network addresses. Hostnames serve as memorable labels for the nodes, rarely changed after initial assignment.

A telecommunications network is a group of nodes interconnected by links that are used to exchange messages between the nodes. For each message, multiple nodes may cooperate to pass the message from an originating node to the a destination node, via multiple network hops. For this routing function each node in the network is assigned a network address for identification and locating it on the network. The collection of addresses in the network is called the address space of the network. Examples of telecommunications networks include computer networks , the Internet , the public switched telephone network PSTN , the global Telex network, the aeronautical ACARS network, and the wireless radio networks of cell phone telecommunication providers.

Solo el escroto.

Ein Vorschlag? -
